Theory Of Operation - WL PHEV Coolant Pumps

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

THEORY OF OPERATION:  There are four cooling pumps for this Hybrid System. Two Low Temperature Coolant Pumps, one High Temperature Auxiliary Coolant Pump, and one Battery Coolant Pump. The pumps have a power and ground feed to operate the pump motors and microprocessors inside of the pumps. The pumps communicate with the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) over the LIN Bus. The pumps can communicate pump speed indicating a possible problem with the pump or coolant flow problem based on pump speed back to the HCP.
