Technical Data - Drive Motor B Resistance Values

Use the specification table below to check the Motor Resolver values. The values in the table show the approximate resistance values for the temperatures given. The actual resistance can vary some from the table. Typically, if the Motor Resolver is faulty the resistance value will be noticeably different from the specification in the table.

Perform Resistance Measurements Between These Circuits Resistance Range (Ohms Ω)
Resolver B Sin Hi-Resolver B Sin Lo 56.3 Ω +/- 20%
Resolver B Cos Hi-Resolver B Cos Lo 53.7 Ω +/- 20%
Resolver B Excitation Hi-Resolver B Excitation Lo 18.9 Ω +/- 20%

Use the specification table below to check the Motor Phase values. The values in the table show the approximate resistance values for the temperatures given. The actual resistance can vary some from the table. Typically, if the Motor Phase is faulty the resistance value will be noticeably different from the specification in the table. Make sure that the DVOM being used is calibrated (zeroed out) before resistance testing. Inaccurate readings will result if not calibrated. 

Perform Resistance Measurements Between These Circuits Resistance Range (Ohms)
U-V-W Motor Phase 0.0 Ω-1.0 Ω

Use the specification table below to check the Motor Temp Sensor. The values in the table show the approximate resistance values for the temperatures given. The actual resistance can vary some from the table. Typically, if the sensor is faulty the resistance value will be noticeably different from the specification in the table.

NOTE:

The Transmission Temperature Sensor is located on top of the Transmission and is serviceable.
