MONITORING CONDITIONS
P05C8-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH RANGE/PERFORMANCE  Continuous with the ignition on, battery voltage above a calibrated threshold and diagnostic monitor enabled.
P05C9-00-ECONOMY MODE SWITCH LOW 
P05CA-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH HIGH 
P05D1-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT LOW 
P05D2-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT HIGH 
P05D3-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
P05D5-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT LOW 
P05D6-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT HIGH 
P05D7-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
FAULT SETTING CRITERIA
P05C8-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH RANGE/PERFORMANCE  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the Hybrid drive mode switch contact is stuck closed for a time greater than a calibrated threshold.
P05C9-00-ECONOMY MODE SWITCH LOW  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the Hybrid drive mode switch contact is internally shorted to ground.
P05CA-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH HIGH  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the Hybrid drive mode switch contact is internally shorted to voltage.
P05D1-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT LOW  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Drive switch contact is internally shorted to ground.
P05D2-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT HIGH  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Drive switch contact is internally shorted to voltage.
P05D3-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Drive switch contact is stuck closed.
P05D5-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT LOW  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Save switch contact is internally shorted to ground.
P05D6-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT HIGH  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Save switch contact is internally shorted to voltage.
P05D7-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE  The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) has detected that the E-Save switch contact is stuck closed.
DEFAULT AND LIMP-IN ACTIONS
P05C8-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
  • Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on.
  • Drive mode feature is not available.
  • Drive mode will default to Hybrid mode.
P05C9-00-ECONOMY MODE SWITCH LOW 
P05CA-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH HIGH 
P05D1-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT LOW 
P05D2-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT HIGH 
P05D3-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
P05D5-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT LOW 
P05D6-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT HIGH 
P05D7-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
POSSIBLE CAUSES
P05C8-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH RANGE/PERFORMANCE  E-Drive Mode Select Switch
P05C9-00-ECONOMY MODE SWITCH LOW 
P05CA-00 ECONOMY MODE SWITCH HIGH 
P05D1-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT LOW 
P05D2-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT HIGH 
P05D3-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "A" CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE 
P05D5-00 DRIVER MODE SELECT SWITCH "B" CIRCUIT LOW
