Theory Of Operation

The Radiator Cooling Fan is supplied with a fused 12 volt B+ circuit and a ground circuit. The Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) controls the radiator Cooling Fan speed with a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) command via a Control Circuit. The HCP monitors the PWM Control circuit and will set a DTC indicating the nature of the fault. The HCP is internally located in the Power Inverter Module (PIM) and is not serviced separately.
