Exhaust Pipe: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Exhaust Resonator/Muffler Clamp Nut
    2 - Exhaust Resonator/Muffler Assembly
  3. Loosen the exhaust resonator/muffler clamp nut and separate the exhaust resonator/muffler assembly from the exhaust pipe.

    1 - Exhaust Isolator Bolt
  4. Remove the exhaust isolator bolt and the exhaust isolators.
  5. Remove the front suspension skid plate.
  6. Remove the transmission skid plate.
  7. Remove the transmission crossmember.

    2 - Exhaust Pipe
  8. Remove the exhaust pipe to catalytic converter nuts and the exhaust pipe.

    1 - Gasket
  9. Remove and discard the gasket.
