Theory Of Operation

The Night Vision driver assistance feature enhances driver vision in low-visibility conditions. The Night Vision Processing Module (NVPM) receives image information from the Night Vision Camera (NVC) over a shielded LVDS cable. The NVPM processes the digital image and outputs an analog video over a shielded LVDS cable to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).

The NVPM and IPC monitor the LVDS cables for errors between the IPC to the NVPM and the NVPM to the NVC.
