Bottle, Pressurized Coolant: Removal
WARNING:
Do not remove cylinder block drain plugs, pressure caps, or loosen radiator draincock with system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to
COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the push pins (1) and the radiator closeout panel (2).
- Remove the coolant manifold hose (1).
- Remove the turbocharger coolant hose (3).
- Release the retainer and remove the lower coolant hose (2).
- Remove the bolts (2) and the pressurized coolant bottle (1).
