Seal, Crankshaft Oil, Front: Installation

  1. Place the front crankshaft oil seal (1) onto the (special tool #9506, Installer, Oil Seal) (2) with seal spring towards the engine.

  2. Place the Oil Seal Installer (2) with the oil seal (1) over the crankshaft against the cover (4). Drive the oil seal into the cover by tightening the crankshaft damper bolt (3) until the Oil Seal Installer bottoms out against the cover.
  3. Install the vibration damper and accessory drive belt. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, INSTALLATION .
