Hose, Clean Air: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the quick coupling (2) of the fresh air make up hose from the clean air hose (4).
- Loosen the clamp (5) and remove the clean air hose (4) from the throttle body inlet.
- Loosen the clamp (3) and remove the clean air hose (4) from the air cleaner body.
- Disengage the pushpins (1) and lift the clean air hose (4) to expose the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector on the bottom of the hose.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the IAT sensor and remove the clean air hose (2) from the vehicle.
