Hose, Clean Air: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect the quick coupling (2) of the fresh air make up hose from the clean air hose (4).
  4. Loosen the clamp (5) and remove the clean air hose (4) from the throttle body inlet.
  5. Loosen the clamp (3) and remove the clean air hose (4) from the air cleaner body.
  6. Disengage the pushpins (1) and lift the clean air hose (4) to expose the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector on the bottom of the hose.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the IAT sensor and remove the clean air hose (2) from the vehicle.
