Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air outlet pipe. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the EGR valve.

  4. Loosen the clamp (2) for EGR cold hose and disconnect from valve assembly.
  5. Remove the four mounting bolts (1) and remove the EGR valve assembly complete with O-ring.
