Oil Pump Drive Chain TENSIONER Shoe

  1. Remove all sealant residues.

  2. Install the oil pump drive chain tensioner shoe (1a) and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Push in the tensioner shoe to move it towards the piston of the tensioner (2a), remove the lock pin (2b) and the release the chain tensioner shoe.
  4. Install the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, INSTALLATION .
  5. If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to ENGINE OIL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system for correct fluid level.
