Engine Oil Pump

  1. Remove the cylinder head cover and timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the cam chain. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, REMOVAL  .
  3. Remove the oil pump drive chain. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, REMOVAL  .
  4. Remove the oil pump sprocket. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, REMOVAL  .

  5. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the engine oil pump displacement control solenoid.

  6. Remove the five bolts (1a) and remove the engine oil pump (1b).

  7. Remove the seals (1).
  8. If required, remove the stud bolt (2a) and remove the engine oil pump displacement control solenoid (2b) complete with O-ring.
