Seal, Crankshaft Oil, Front: Removal

  1. Remove the vibration damper from the front of the crankshaft. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL .

    NOTE:

    Be careful not to damage the oil seal seat when removing the oil seal.

  2. Remove the oil seal (1) from the timing cover.
    NOTE:

    The oil seal is ruined during the removal operation so it must always be replaced.
