Isolator, Front CROSSMEMBER, Torsion: Installation
NOTE:
Prior to using pressing tools, lubricate the screw-type threads to provide ease of use and promote tool longevity.
- Position the (special tool #2054503130, Installer, Bushing) onto the new isolator (1) with the pins (4) lined up with the narrow part of the isolator (2).
- Assemble tools over isolator crossmember assembly as shown in illustration:

- (special tool #2026900170, Kit, Pressing Tool)
- Isolator
- Position the isolator with the notches (1) of Bushing Installer facing forward and lined up with the notch in the crossmember.
- Install special tool (special tool #2054504130, Guide, Bushing Installer) (2) onto Bushing Installer (1) to line up the tool with the notch in the crossmember correctly.
- Position the tool (special tool #2054502130, Receiver, Bushing Removal) (1) onto the Pressing Tool and install another pressing nut and bearing (2).
- Tighten the Pressing Tool and begin pressing the isolator (4) straight into the crossmember (3).
- Continue pressing the isolator into the crossmember until the Bushing Installer (2) seats fully against the crossmember flange (3).
- Install the exhaust. Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST CROSSUNDER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the rear engine mount bracket. Refer to INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNT, RIGHT, INSTALLATION .
