Seats, Front: Seat: Removal

NOTE:

The bolts may be a Mortorq® bolt and require a Mortorq® tool bit for removal and installation.

  1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to SEATS, FRONT, WARNING .
  2. Position the front seat in the full forward position.

  3. Remove the bolt cover (1) from the seat track.

  4. Remove and DISCARD  the seat track fasteners (1) from the rear of the seat track.
  5. Move the seat to the full rearward position.
  6. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  7. Remove and DISCARD  the seat track fasteners (1) from the front of the seat track.
  8. Tilt the seat up, unclip and disconnect the wire harness connectors, then remove the seat (2) from the vehicle.
