Turbocharger Coolant Supply Pipe

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the coolant system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the bolt (3) from the turbocharger oil supply pipe on the turbocharger.
  6. Remove the nut (2) securing the oil dipstick tube, engine coolant pipe and the turbocharger oil supply pipe (1) to the turbocharger.
  7. Remove and reposition the turbocharger oil supply pipe (1) complete with O-ring seal.

  8. Remove the two bolts (1) and remove the turbocharger coolant supply pipe (2) from the turbocharger.

  9. Disengage the wire harness retainers (1) from the turbocharger coolant supply pipe.

  10. Loosen the band clamp (1) and remove the cooling hose (2) from the turbocharger coolant supply pipe (4).
  11. Remove the bolt (3) and remove the turbocharger coolant supply pipe (4) from the engine.
