Oil Pump Pick-Up - TRAILHAWK

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, REMOVAL .

    NOTE:

    Shown in illustration with the upper oil pan removed for clarity. The oil pump pick-up tube can be removed though the lower oil pan opening.

  4. Remove the screws (2) and remove the oil pump pick-up tube (1).

  5. Remove and discard the O-ring seal (1).
