Air Cleaner: Removal

- Disconnect the boost vacuum purge hose quick coupling (1) from the air cleaner body cover.
- Disconnect the fuel vapor purge hose quick coupling (2) from the air cleaner body cover.
- Loosen the six captured retaining bolts (1) from the air cleaner body cover (2).CAUTION:
Do not use compressed air to clean out the air cleaner housing without first covering the air inlet to the throttle body. Dirt or foreign objects could enter the intake manifold causing engine damage.
- Lift the cover off the air cleaner body and position aside.
- Remove the air cleaner element (1).
- Remove any dirt or debris from the bottom of the air cleaner body.
