Center, Electronic Vehicle Information: Description

The Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) features a driver-interactive display. The display is located in the middle of the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tachometer. This system conveniently allows the driver to select a variety of useful information by pressing the switches mounted on the steering wheel. The EVIC displays information related to the following:

The EVIC system is comprised of several different components. Those components are:

The EVIC display is part of the IPC assembly and is not serviced as a separate component. If the display is inoperative the complete IPC assembly must be replaced. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, REMOVAL and INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, INSTALLATION . If the EVIC function buttons are inoperative and require replacement, refer to SWITCH, EVIC CONTROL, REMOVAL  and SWITCH, EVIC CONTROL, INSTALLATION .
