Latch, Hood: Removal

  1. Remove the push-pins and remove the radiator closeout panel.

  2. If equipped, disconnect the hood ajar switch harness (1).
  3. Mark an outline of the hood latch on radiator support crossmember with a grease pencil or other suitable device to aid installation.
  4. Remove the fasteners (2) attaching the hood latch to the upper radiator support crossmember.

  5. Position the hood latch away from the vehicle.
  6. Disconnect the release cable (1) from the latch.
  7. Remove the latch.
