The optional premium speaker system includes a separate audio amplifier (1). The amplifier is a 12 channel matrix surround unit and is located in the instrument panel, mounted horizontally above the glove box and toward the outside of the vehicle. The audio amplifier serves as the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) module in vehicles equipped with ANC and the premium audio system.
