Diagnostic Test

READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and record on the repair order.
2. With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
4. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?

Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the appropriate INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
VERIFY COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
1. With the scan tool, read the active modules on the bus.
  Does the scan tool show the BCM active on the bus?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Perform the No Response From BCM diagnostic procedure. Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM ECU .
CHECK THE AMP
Has the AMP been reprogrammed or replaced without being programed?

Yes
- With the scan tool, Program the AMP by performing the PROXI configuration.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 4
CHECK AMPLIFIER INFORMATION
1. Perform a SINGLE VIN INQUIRY and compare the audio sales codes found under the OPTIONS tab for Standard Equipment, Optional Equipment and Dealer Installed Equipment to determine the correct Amplifier for the vehicle.
2. Using the scan tool, verify the Amplifier part number for the vehicle is correct.
  Is the correct Amplifier in the vehicle?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Amplifier in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to AMPLIFIER, REMOVAL and AMPLIFIER, INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Install the correct Amplifier to the vehicle.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
