Sunroof, Dual Pane: Removal
NOTE:
It is very important to support the sunroof frame evenly when removing. If the frame is twisted when removed, it could cause glass misalignment, leaks, and squeaks.
NOTE:
For exploded view of sunroof components. Refer to SUNROOF, DUAL PANE, DESCRIPTION .
- Move front glass panel to the fully closed position.
- Remove the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the sunroof wire harness connector.
- Detach the front and rear drain tubes (2 and 4) from the sunroof.
- With the help of two assistants holding the sunroof (1), remove all the sunroof fasteners (3).
- Lower the sunroof and carefully remove from the vehicle.
- Place the sunroof on a workbench and inspect the roof seal for damage. If any other type of damage is observed, replace the seal with a NEW service part.
