Battery Disconnect And Connect

DISCONNECT 

1. Remove the rear floor heat duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   1 - Negative Battery Cable

   2 - Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) Wire Harness Connector

   3 - Ground Terminal Nut

   4 - Auxiliary Negative Battery Cable

2. Disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) wire harness connector.
3. Press and release the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the ground terminal nut and isolate the auxiliary negative battery cable and set aside.

CONNECT

1. Install the auxiliary negative battery cable and tighten the ground terminal nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
2. Press and install the negative battery cable onto the IBS stud.
3. Connect the IBS wire harness connector.
4. Install the rear floor heat duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
