Output Shaft Seal

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the transfer case. Refer to MP1622C TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or MP3022C TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   1 - Rear Output Oil Seal

2. Using a suitable tool, remove the seal from the case.
   NOTE:

   Do not damage case sealing surface when removing seal.

INSTALLATION 

1. Using (special tool #2051900210, Installer, Seal Output Shaft), install a NEW  output seal into the case and verify the output seal installed depth is with in specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
2. Install the transfer case. Refer to MP1622C TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or MP3022C TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Check the transmission fluid level and fill as necessary using the specified fluid. Refer to FLUID - DRAIN AND FILL .
