Clutch Master Cylinder: Notes
REMOVAL
- Pry the clutch master cylinder actuator rod off clutch pedal pin.
1 - Brake Hose 2 - Hydraulic Line 3 - Clutch Pedal Position Switch Harness Connector - Remove the hose from the brake master cylinder reservoir and plug the hose to prevent fluid loss.
- Pull the hydraulic line clip and remove the hydraulic line from the bottom of the clutch master cylinder.
- Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch wire harness connector from the clutch pedal position switch.
- Turn the clutch master cylinder assembly clockwise a quarter turn and remove the clutch master cylinder from the dash panel.
INSTALLATION
During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Verify the O-ring is on the hydraulic line. when installing the clutch master cylinder actuator rod on the clutch pedal pin.
- Bleed the clutch hydraulic circuit. Refer to CLUTCH HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT BLEEDING .
