Axle Bushings

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the upper control arm from the axle. Refer to ARM, UPPER CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   2 - Receiver 9948-1

   3 - Axle Bracket

   4 - Remover, Bushing 9948-2

2. Assemble (special tool #9948, Remover/Installer, Bushing) as shown in the illustration.
   • (special tool #9948-3, Nut, Special) Nut
   • (special tool #9948-1, Receiver) Receiver
   • (special tool #9948-2, Remover, Bushing) Driver.
3. Press the bushing out of the axle bracket.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
