Standard Procedure: Draining

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:

Do not remove or loosen the coolant pressure cap, cylinder block drain plugs, or the draincock when the system is hot and under pressure because serious burns from the coolant can occur.

  1. Remove the front air dam. Refer to AIR DAM, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Petcock
    NOTE:

    The petcock is located on the front of the radiator, lower left side.

  2. Make sure the system is not pressurized  and open the petcock.
  3. If equipped and necessary, remove the cylinder block drain plug(s).
