PRESSURIZED COOLANT BOTTLE
| Refer to COMPONENT INDEX . |
The coolant reserve/overflow system consists of a radiator mounted pressurized cap, a plastic coolant recovery bottle, a hose connecting the radiator and recovery bottle, and an overflow tube on the side of the bottle. As air is removed from the cooling system, it gathers in the pressurized coolant bottle. This pressure is released into the atmosphere through the pressure valve located in the radiator pressure cap when pressure reaches 21 PSI (145 kPa.).
