Theory Of Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
When the ignition switch is turned off, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) continues to drive the ASD relay on for approximately 20-40 seconds. This period of time is the After-Run Mode of operation. During After-Run the PCM performs several internal and external checks. When After-Run is complete, the PCM switches off the ASD relay driver and powers off the engine system.
