Exhaust Muffler: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Saturate the clamp nuts with Mopar® Rust Inhibitor. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.

  3. Remove the exhaust isolator bolts and the exhaust isolator.

    2 - Exhaust Isolator Bolts
  4. Remove the exhaust isolator bolts and the exhaust isolator.

  5. Remove the exhaust isolator bolts and the exhaust isolator.

    1 - Exhaust Muffler Nuts
    2 - Exhaust Muffler Assembly
  6. Remove the exhaust muffler nuts and the exhaust muffler assembly.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
