The exhaust roller rocker arms are stamped steel with an integral roller bearing. The exhaust rocker arms are attached to the hydraulic lifters with a retaining clip.
NOTE:
The exhaust rocker arm and exhaust hydraulic lifter should not be unclipped during diagnosis and handling.

The intake two-step roller rocker arms use oil pressure to control high or low intake valve lift depending on configuration.

Configuration is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- Low lift position - Pin Retracted
- High lift position - Pin Extended
- Oil Pressure from the two-stop solenoid
