Switch - Cargo 115 Volt

NOTE:

The Cargo Power Outlet is controlled by a bezel mounted switch that is located on the face of the instrument panel below the headlamp switch.

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 3.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT & CONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM or 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT & CONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the driver side instrument panel cover, Refer to COVER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the 115 volt power switch (4).
  4. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent tool, disengage the four retaining tabs (1) and remove the 115 volt power switch (4) from the driver side instrument panel (3).

INSTALLATION

  1. Position the 115 volt power switch to the bezel and engage all four retaining tabs.
  2. Connect the wire harness connector to the 115 volt power switch.
  3. Install the driver side instrument panel cover, Refer to COVER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 3.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT & CONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM or 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT & CONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
