Theory Of Operation

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module compares the steering wheel angle to vehicle inputs such as wheel speeds and acceleration to determine the Dynamics Sensor offsets for accuracy. When the ABS Initialization routine is performed, the ABS Module will reset the Dynamics Sensor data to a compensated value in the ABS Module until the vehicle drive test is completed. This DTC will set in the ABS Module when the dynamics sensor offset data is out of range. This fault can only be cleared after performing the ABS initialization. The actual dynamics sensor value data is displayed in the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
