Theory Of Operation

The Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM) provides power and return to the steering wheel heating element, using PWM to control the hard wired signals. The Heated Steering Wheel (HSW) contains a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) type thermistor for temperature sensing, and provides feedback to the Steering Wheel Switch (SWS) using hard wired signal and return circuits. The SWS reports the temperature using a LIN signal.
