Hands Free Phone: Microphone
MICROPHONE
| Refer to COMPONENT INDEX . |
When the hands free VR control circuitry integral and internal to the radio detects the appropriate inputs or requests, it energizes the circuitry of the microphones mounted in the headliner just above the driver and front passenger, one to each side of the headliner. The microphones remain active until deactivated by the hands free VR control circuitry, or until the status of the ignition transitions to OFF, whichever occurs first.
The inputs from the microphones are processed, filtered and redirected by the VR control circuitry and logic as appropriate. Those inputs can be redirected to the ASR engine or to the audio send circuitry of the Bluetooth® transceiver. Each of these electronic modules is also integral and internal to the radio.
