Vehicles with this equipment can be readily identified by the illumination of the security indicator in the IPC for about three seconds after the status of the ignition transitions to ON as a security bulb test. The IPC will also respond to the electronic invalid key message on the CAN-C data bus by flashing the security indicator ON and OFF.
