Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Before starting the diagnostic test, make sure that all antenna connections are secure, clean, tight, and no male and female terminal issues are present.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Start the engine and allow to run for 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE TV ANTENNA 2 CONNECTION
- Disconnect the TV Antenna 2 from the Digital TV (DTV) Module.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Start the engine and allow to run for 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Digital TV (DTV) Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Make sure that the TV Antenna 2 and coax cable are not shorted to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
