Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Before starting the diagnostic test, verify that the TV Antenna cable and connections are tight and clean. Disconnect and inspect all terminals for any concerns.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCS.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE TV ANTENNA FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the TV Antenna 1 at the DTV harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTV DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Replace the Digital TV (DTV) Module.
No
- Replace the TV Antenna 1 and coax cable.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
