Theory Of Operation

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) has a special diagnostic mode called "in plant mode" for the Electric Parking Brake (EPB). Automatic EPB functions will be disabled with this mode active. This is so the technician can work on the vehicle knowing that the parking brake will not automatically apply/release.
