Shield, Splash, Rear Wheelhouse: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the wheel from the side of the vehicle being serviced. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the spat fasteners and remove spats.

  4. Remove the fasteners (3) from the splash shield (2).
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the splash shield (2) to the fascia and wheelhouse.
  6. Remove the rivet (4).
  7. Release the outboard edge of the splash shield (2) from the body side flange.
  8. Remove the splash shield (2) from the vehicle.
