Lamp, Backup: Removal

NOTE:

The backup lamp is a component of the outer tail lamp. This procedure is for the removal of the backup lamp bulb.

  1. Remove the outer rear lamp unit from the end of the quarter panel. Refer to LAMP, TAIL, REMOVAL .

  2. Firmly grasp the backup lamp bulb socket (3) and rotate it counterclockwise to unlock it from the keyed opening (1) in the rear lamp unit housing.
  3. Pull outward on the bulb socket and remove it from the rear lamp unit housing.
  4. Pull outward at the base of the backup lamp bulb (2) and remove the bulb from the socket.
