Bezel, Shifter: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the console closeout (1).
  3. Remove the shifter knob. Refer to SHIFTER, FLOOR CONSOLE, REMOVAL .

  4. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, pry up on bezel (1). Disconnect the wire harness connector(s) and remove.
