Doors - Front: Door: Removal

NOTE:

Do not reuse the front door hinge pivot fasteners (2) and (4), replace with new, readily available through Mopar parts.

NOTE:

Driver side door shown in illustration, passenger side similar.

  1. Open and support the door on a suitable lifting device.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the fastener securing the door check strap (1).
  4. Remove the fastener (2) securing the upper door hinges half to the A-pillar hinge half.
  5. Remove the fastener (4) securing the lower door hinge half to the A-pillar half.
  6. With the use of a suitable lifting device, remove the door from the vehicle.
  7. Disconnect the front door wire harness connector (3) from the body harness.
