Input Shaft Seal

REMOVAL
- Remove the transfer case. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Input Shaft Seal - Using a suitable removal tool, remove the input shaft seal and DISCARD .
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
During installation torque the following fasteners to specification:
| Case Bolts | 22 N. m (16 Ft. Lbs.) | - |
| Shift Motor M8 Cover Bolt | 11 N. m (97 In. Lbs.) | - |
| Shift Motor M10 Cover Bolt | 25 N. m (18 Ft. Lbs.) | - |
| Front Driveshaft To Flange Bolts | 56 N. m (41 Ft. Lbs.) | If removed, NEW bolts must be installed and tightened to specifications. |
| Rear Driveshaft To Flange Bolts | 56 N. m (41 Ft. Lbs.) | If removed, NEW bolts must be installed and tightened to specifications. |
- Use tool (special tool #2076600210, Installer, Input Shaft Seal) to install the NEW input shaft seal in the transfer case.
