Remote Start System: Inhibitors

INHIBITORS

Condition that will prevent Remote Start from entering a Pre-Start mode:	Once in Pre-Start mode:
In this mode, the Remote Start request is received and these inhibitors can prevent the signal from becoming an active ignition start request: driver door is ajar passenger door is ajar left rear door is ajar right rear door is ajar the hood is ajar brake pedal is pressed the vehicle is not configured for remote start remote start is not enabled no hood switch present the ignition is not in the lock position or the ignition is already registering a key in ignition state the hazard switch is active vehicle panic mode is active the vehicle transmission is not in P ark Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) is active/alarming battery voltage is not between 11v-15v remote start previously disabled start counter reached is greater than two immobilizer security verification unsuccessful begins	In this state, the commanded ignition state changes to RUN and the system will enter in to CRANK mode after three seconds. If within the three seconds between RUN and CRANK that any of the following inhibitors occur, the BCM will change the remote start request to disabled and the remote starting event will stop: driver door is ajar passenger door is ajar left rear door is ajar right rear door is ajar the hood is ajar brake pedal is pressed the vehicle speed is greater then 5 kilometers per hour (km/h) or 3 miles per hour (mph) the vehicle is not configured for Remote Start remote Start is not enabled no hood switch present the ignition is not in the lock position or the ignition is already registering a key in ignition state ignition status becomes Signal Not Acquired (SNA) the hazard switch is active vehicle panic mode is active the vehicle transmission is not in P ark VTA is active/alarming remote Start previously disabled battery reset Engine speed is greater then 16 km/h (10 mph) remote start request is received immobilizer security verification fails

In this mode, the Remote Start request is received and these inhibitors can prevent the signal from becoming an active ignition start request:

driver door is ajar
passenger door is ajar
left rear door is ajar
right rear door is ajar
the hood is ajar
brake pedal is pressed
the vehicle is not configured for remote start
remote start is not enabled
no hood switch present
the ignition is not in the lock position or the ignition is already registering a key in ignition state
the hazard switch is active
vehicle panic mode is active
the vehicle transmission is not in P ark
Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) is active/alarming
battery voltage is not between 11v-15v
remote start previously disabled
start counter reached is greater than two
immobilizer security verification unsuccessful begins

In this state, the commanded ignition state changes to RUN and the system will enter in to CRANK mode after three seconds.
