BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)

The BCM:
- Is the gateway module used to convert BUS network messages and then broadcasts them from one bus to another
- Reads the state of the door, tailgate and hood switches before enabling CRANK
- Is responsible for actuating the starter relay LSD once commanded by the PCM high side relay CRANK command
- Receives a LIN bus Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) state signal about raw battery current, voltage, and temperature levels
- Is responsible for deactivating the starter motor
