Component Functional Description - Brake System Control Module (BSCM)
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The BSCM is bolted to the Hydraulic Assembly. The BSCM monitors several inputs used for normal vehicle braking as well as detection and operation of anti-lock braking, traction, and electronic stability controls. The signals that are monitored are listed below. The BSCM directly monitors the signals for operating the:
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor(s)
- Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor (non-eBooster System)
- Brake Pedal Simulator Pressure Sensor (eBooster System)
- Hydraulic pressure sensors in each hydraulic circuit
- Wheel Speed Sensors
- Steering Angle Sensor
- Dynamic Sensor
These inputs are used to control the following output devices:
- Motor/actuator
- Hydraulic pump
- Inlet Check Valves
- Outlet Check Valves
