The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the Cooling Fan operation by sending a Pulse-Width Modulated (PWM) signal to the Cooling Fan Module to control fan speed. The PCM determines an open or shorted circuit is detected in the Radiator Fan Control circuit.
