When Monitored

This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

• With the engine running.
• No CMP Sensor, CKP Sensor, Oil Pressure Sensor or Engine Oil Temperature Sensor faults active.
• The target error diagnostic runs when the modeled Camshaft Position changes less than one engine degree (stable condition) for more than one second.
• The slow response diagnostic runs when the following are met:
  • the engine oil temperature is above -7°C (19.4°F).
  • time since an MDS transition is more than 0.5 seconds.
  • when there is a change in the modeled Camshaft position of more than one engine degree (moving) for more than 3.5 seconds.
